The New Era University Research Center is pleased to announce the SEAMEO Jasper Research Award 2025, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). The award focuses on groundbreaking research to engage minority and indigenous communities in Southeast Asia.
Theme:
“Engaging Minority and Indigenous Communities in Southeast Asia”
Focus Areas:
Research studies should address one or more of the following:
- Promoting inclusion in policymaking and education.
- Preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
- Empowering minorities and indigenous communities through skills training and economic opportunities.
- Addressing issues of discrimination and social inequality.
Eligibility:
- Open to researchers, educators, and scholars from SEAMEO member countries, including the Philippines.
- Research must align with the 2025 theme and focus areas.
Important Dates:
- Deadline for Entry Submission: December 31, 2024
- Entry Evaluation and Shortlisting: April 15, 2025
- External Evaluation: May 15, 2025
- Announcement of Winner: October 2025 (on the SEAMEO website)
- Awarding Ceremony: November 2025 (at the 48th SEAMEO High Officials Meeting)
